Ceramics

Redware and stoneware glazed clay. All works are handmade by the artist using a variety of tools to make/manipulate wheel thrown and hand built pieces.

Hand cut trays using a wet saw or circular saw to the desired shape and size. Pieces having a radius are trued to shape using a wet grinder. Edge profiles are created using a wet grinder.

Glazed high-fire pots both eye pleasing as well as durable and functional.

Unique and useful items turned on a lathe mixing, wood, antler, and stone.

Drawings

Pen and ink drawings of wildlife, landscapes, historical sites, and more.

Fiber

Allison's line of wearable art clothing is a celebration of original designs on hand dyed textiles for women and children. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind unique  creation of style and comfort. All of the clothing is 100% super soft cotton.

Create your own one-of-kind hand marbled scarf. Participants can create  their own 15" x 72" scarf using a 15th century ebur/Turkish marbling technique. Check out our product line of silk scarves.

One-of-a-kind glass objects for home, garden, and personal adornment. A variety of glass working techniques are used such as fusing, lamp work, casting, kiln carving, and sandblasting. Metal and wood are used to enhance glass items.

Jewelry

I make jewelry that is vintage inspired with a touch of whimsy. It is a combination of vintage beads, buttons, or fabric with new materials that blend to give a fresh look to jewelry and accessories. My favorite designs involve wire techniques, linking and wrapping.

Jewelry made with natural materials, primarily pearls, gemstones, natural brass, reproduction antique buttons, and blown glass. Elements wrapped with wire and filigree 

Pieces start as copper, brass, nickel, silver and sterling sheet metal and or wire. Featuring signature Bloom pieces and abstract pieces of interest. Featured in Copper In the Arts Magazine.

All jewelry is uniquely handmade with acute attention to details. Sterling silver or gold metals are used along with freshwater pearls and new or antique materials.

Traditional metalsmithing techniques using sterling silver and 14kt gold fill metals, combined with hand selected gemstones and earls in original jewelry design.

Sterling silver and mixed metal jewelry.  Beginning with geometric shapes embellished with signature tree branch line designs.  Each piece is handcrafted and signed making wearable pieces of collectible art.  Awarded PA Guild State Jury Status in 2009. 

Handmade Chainmaille jewelry in both base and precious metals. Crystals, semi-precious accents, handmade beads and pendants incorporated in to work.  

Polymer clay is hand-formed into beads by numerous methods, including caning, impressing, mirror-image, and sculpture techniques, then further embellished with paints and powders. They are strung with Czech glass and metal beads    with hand-forged components and wire working techniques.

Metal

Hand torched metal, brought to life forming birds, animals, floral, and other whimsical designs.

Celtic knotwork with and added blend of Renaissance styling. This thousand year old form of knotworking is done using only hands, a single rod, metal wiring, and heat. 

Mixed Media

Acrylic paint, found papers, collage elements, fabric and image transfers on canvas, sometimes paper.

Handcrafted constructed paintings.

Hand painted porcelain treasures that can be value as an heirloom. Each piece is created using a painting technique that is over 2000 years old. The artist meticulously hand paints items several times over, each painting followed by a 1500 degree heat exposure.

Oils/Acrylics

Materials include oil and acrylic on canvas and some watercolor paper. Techniques range from representational to abstract. Painting primarily done with brushes. Palette knives used to create depth, impact and dimension. Portraits, still lifes and landscapes.

Original acrylic paintings on canvas using only the finest paints. Paintings are a collaboration between to artists merging two unique painting styles into one beautiful creation.

Acrylic paintings on natural duck cloth. Paint is applied using handmade imprints to achieve a weathered rustic look.

Interpretive approach to photography.  All film and no digital manipulation.  Approach involves exposing a single frame of film multiple times for an impressionistic effect. 

Photographs of objects in nature and architecture that look like letters, and then framed to spell words from 2-8 letters in length.

Contemporary fine art portraits which capture the inner beauty and connection between the people and animals photographed.  Images are printed on fine art water color paper and framed in house.

Woodcarving

Each piece has been uniquely hand carved and inspired by the wood. Demonstrating artist, using only hand tools to create a variety of santas, angels, mermaids, etc. The carvings are finished with a whimsical, painted personal touch.
